Lameness

Acute and chronic lameness can be evaluated by our veterinarians using routine medical practices and/or the application of eastern medicine.

We offer conformation and gait evaluation using hoof testers, limb flexion, regional and intra-articular anesthesia as well as information gained from acupuncture and chiropractic evaluation.

We have a particular interest in horses with poor performance and enhancing performance of horses competing at high levels.

Diagnostic imaging can be performed using radiographs to evaluate bony changes and/or ultrasound to evaluate tendons, ligaments, and soft tissue.

We offer a complete approach to treating lameness that focuses on long-term results. Treatment may include medical therapy, joint injections, farrier consultation, and/or chiropractic and acupuncture treatments.
